The Complete List of Nominees for the 2nd Annual Treemy Awards
Plus, information on how to vote and attend this year's ceremony.
After three weeks of open submissions, we finally have our complete list of nominees for this year’s second annual Treemy Awards for trees in popular culture. I have to say that the list itself represents a marvelous diversity of genres and species, and I’ve been told by my intern, Libby, who has exclusive access to the results, that its shaping up to be a race for the ages in several categories, including the award of the night, the Lifetime A-Tree-vement Award. Vote here until April 13.
This year is a co-production with the podcast Completely Arbortrary, and its hosts Casey Clapp and Alex Crowson will join me as co-hosts. The ceremony will be a LIVE late night (10pm) ceremony and madhouse at the Laemmle Royal in Los Angeles on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22nd (Treemy Saturday). You can purchase tickets for it here. All attendees will receive a Periodic Table of Pinecones poster and a carefully curated goodie bag. The Forest Green Carpet starts at 9pm complete with step-and-repeat and photographer for all guests, and dress code is semi-floral. Here are the nominees, and, as is our policy, all original phraseology from submissions has been maintained:
