Come to My Free Book Launch on April 11th in LA!
It will be mad, marvelous, and everyone will get a Periodic Table of Pinecones.
Beautiful tree people: come join me for a celebration of my book, Must Love Trees: An Unconventional Guide, which will be birthed into the world exactly one week from today, on April 11th. There are a few free reservations left, so I would grab them. To do so, click here. You can also use that link to buy a copy of the book from the Skirball Museum for me to sign that very evening.
(Also, I currently have a contest running on social media: if you’d like to win one of three books that I will hand deliver to you from the stage, simply make a reservation, then send an email to mustlovetreesbook@gmail.com with the subject “Please, Spouse, Don’t ‘Leaf’ Tobin!”. And don’t worry, my spouse is not actually “leaf”-ing me. Just a bit of classic social media and tree pun humor!)
I’ve probably yelled at you about my book launch before, but that’s because it will rule. The Skirball Center in Los Angeles is truly pulling out all the stops for us that evening, aka letting me do pretty much I want. So don't let the advertisement above fool you, the person with whom I mostly be in conversation is myself. There will also be:
Dramatic readings from the book with professional actors
Extremely special and secret guests
Poetry
A tale of meeting the oldest tree in the world
Crowd participation for those who dig it
All jokes aside, I'm truly excited to share this world with you, and I do hope you'll consider joining me for the introduction of this weird, wild, wondrous book into the world.
And, of course, everyone gets a Periodic Table of Pinecones. And a tree.
I will see you on Tuesday the 11th.
Warmly,
Tobin
That DOES sound like it will rule. Sorry to miss it!
