LA: April 28th is the Last Chance to Pick Up a Periodic Table of Pinecones and Ask Me Insane Tree Questions
I'll be in conversation with Stephanie Carrie, who runs the amazing @treesofla, on Friday, April 28th at 7:30 at the Village Well in Culver City
Ah, April. There were laughs. There were tears. There were in-person reckonings and public breakdowns. And that’s just me!
My book launch at the Skirball Center for Must Love Trees: An Unconventional Guide was an emotional experience for me, not only because it was my first time returning to public speaking and performance since before the pandemic, but also for the first time as a father and public tree-obsessive. The Treemy Awards were somewhere in between a hot ticket and a hot mess, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It was so, so unhinged, and I’m pretty sure everyone had a great friggin’ time. Powell’s in Portland was a dream. What a beautiful city.
And so we come to the final event of Earth Month, at the Village Well in Culver City, where I get to chat with my old friend Stephanie Carrie of Trees of LA about my book. What a great way to wind out this month. Please come. Please enjoy. Please bring a friend.
Start your Sabbath off right: listening to a book discussion about trees, these great and holy gifts, and the ways in which we can laugh about the ways in which we think about the ways we experience them.
